Subject: kabikaboo: depends on python-gtkspell which is going away
Date: Sat, 11 May 2013 22:07:37 +0200
Package: kabikaboo
Severity: serious
User: pkg-gnome-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org
Usertags: oldlibs python-gtkspell
Hi,
Your package depends on python-gtkspell which is about to be removed from the
archive. Please remove the gtkspell support and the dependency from your package
for now. For a longer term solution, your package should be ported to the
GObject Introspection bindings and use gir1.2-gtkspell3-3.0. See [1] for more
details on porting to PyGI.
Thanks,
Emilio

Ping.
We want on removing python-gtkspell from jessie, so this bug may be a problem if
you want your package to have spell support for jessie. Now is the time to tell
your upstream to port the package, otherwise spell support may have to be
patched away.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Cheers,
Emilio

This is happening this cycle, so bumping the severity as your package won't be
part of Stretch if this isn't fixed.
