It has been several weeks since filing this and we want to proceed with the
transition. Therefore I am bumping this bug to RC severity. If no action is
taken it will be removed from Debian Testing within several weeks, allowing
us to proceed with the transition.

Hi,

if you want to proceed with the transition, maybe it's a good idea to
upload libgit2 to unstable first :)

python-pygit2 is ready for transition since 12 Jun 2020 (in experimental).
