Package: scrollkeeper
Version: 0.2-1
Severity: normal
I'm just trying to work out the best way to handle the scrollkeeper stuff
in ghex, which I'm helping an NM candidate friend of mine to repackage and
adopt.
I found that in my /var/lib/scrollkeeper/, rather than the usual symlinks
like eg:
en -> /var/lib/scrollkeeper/C
all the symlinks were to the non-existent /var/lib/scrollkeeper/marrilat.
I don't know how this happened, or which package is responsible, but I
think it'd make sense to put something like this:
scrollkeeper-rebuilddb -p /var/lib/scrollkeeper
in the scrollkeeper postinst, if not cron (monthly?) as well, to keep the
database sane. After I ran this, all the symlinks went to their right
places.
Plus, I was looking at the prerm script... when you purge, remove, etc
scrollkeeper, it leaves the contents of /var/lib/scrollkeeper behind. This
is severely broken, and should be fixed ASAP.
Regards,
Rob
