Hi,

Whilst working on the Reproducible Builds effort [0] we noticed
that apophenia could not be built reproducibly.

This is because it included build paths in (somewhat useless!)
log files. Patch attached that simply doesn't ship these in
the binary package. This is similar to #939548 [1] in dsdp and
#939650 [2] in libvdpau (please see the comments on the former
report).

Patch attached.

There hasn't seem to be any update on this bug in 367 days, in which
time the Reproducible Builds effort has come on a long way.

Would you consider applying this patch and uploading?

This no longer appears to be an issue:

  https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian/history/apophenia.html

The vast majority of builds since mid-2020 appear to be reproducible.

The two builds on i386 and armhf in bookworm appear to be an unrelated
issue (possibly in our test infrastructure).

live well,
