So some packages are waiting in NEW, others have issues with their
copyright status, for which I have opened issues upstream. In any case,
ITPs have been filed, except for the first package, because it's a fork
of another package which might involve some clarification. We don't want
to package duplicate copies of code there...

The packages indicated in this table as having unclear licenses have had
that issue resolved, so those packages can be built now.

It has been a long time since you sent this email -- is there any progress
about it/any known blockers?
I would very much like to see riseup-vpn in debian archive, and I would also
be willing to help out in getting this packaged.

Let me know.

Not as far as I know.

> any known blockers?

The bug has at least two other bugs blocking it at the moment, but
considering how old the last report is, I wouldn't be surprised if
upstream introduced new dependencies that need packaging as well.

As far as I am concerned, please go ahead, but the bug is owned by micah
so maybe checkin with him first. I would be surprised if he has any
objection to getting help, that said. :)

I should also note that I happen to be the Debian maintainer of a few of
the dependencies that were packaged for this ITP, and I have seriously
considered orphaning those because I have limited cycles to take care of
them. So if you want to look into those, feel free to take them over.

Yeah.
Did you guys start with some prelim/skeleton packaging for this?
I was wondering if it is hosted on salsa/somewhere else, I could update latest upstream and
try seeing what extra needs to be added than replicating the effort.

@Micah, if you are reading this email, it'd be nice if you could give an ack.

I am pretty active in go-packaging team -- I can try if I find those packages
undermaintained. But no committments since I myself maintain 200+ packages ATM :)

Nevermind.

I have a preliminary packaging ready. Builds, is usable (as far as I tried).
Source package is here[1] -- reviews welcome.

As you might observe, there is a huge vendor/ directory.
Over the next weeks, I will try to package these deps and use debian packaged
stuff instead of vendor, trimming it down as much as I can.
