Dear Maintainer,
The package currently fails to reproducibly build on merged-usr vs
non-merged systems.

The problem is that the full path of ps is looked up via PATH at
build-time and then embedded in shipped files.
This is easily fixed by passing PS=/bin/ps to configure.
