Brave is a web browser with privacy and micropayments features.
.
The browser blocks website trackers (web bugs like tracking pixels
and tracking cookies) and intrusive advertising, and restricts the
information sent to advertising customers.
.
Brave Payments, a built-in micropayment system to reward online
publishers, is built into the browser.
.
The browser is based on the Blink web browser engine that is also
used in Chromium.

They have created a Debian package - should be easy to add.
For those that can't wait:
You can add this to sources list and simply $ apt install brave
# brave
deb [arch=amd64] https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/brave-apt stretch main
deb [arch=amd64] https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/brave-apt-staging stretch main

Oops, looks like this was always an RFP, apologies for the noise :)

Long time since this ITP is open, just wanted to know if there's
something blocking this, and/or if you're working on this anymore?

I hope you can find someone interested to package this.

Brave always looked malware to me.
Maybe that's why it's always in RFP and there's no ITP. I personally prefer a brave-less Debian.

I've come to think the same thing. I suppose more than half of the 'secure' apps/programs/VPNs are really honeypots by
the three letter guys. If you use secure setups you probably end up on a list.

Hello,
provided that everything in Brave is free software the trademarks could
still be a problem. The use of logos and trademarks of Brave Software
Inc probably requires prior written permissions.[1] The Mozilla Public
License version 2 doesn't give this rights.[2]
The distribution in official Debian releases (stable branch) also needs
special attention and active collaboration with the security and release
teams. More or less the same exceptions like for Firefox, Chromium,
Thunderbird, Webkit and co.
It would be a lot of work I guess.
