Dear Maintainer,
In Ubuntu, the attached patch was applied to achieve the following:
* Use real locking in ebtables (LP: #1645324)
- Prior use of locking by file exclusive access is inadequate
because if ebtables crashes or is killed it will leave a
stale lock file behind which then blocks new ebtables from
running.
Thanks for considering the patch.

Dear maintainer,
Did you have the time to review/consider my colleague (Dragan) patch to be committed/uploaded into Debian ?
Note that Dragan didn't submit the patch upstream since that ebtables upstream project is pretty much unmaintained now since 2015.
Nowadays, all the development effort is now happening in nft.
Although I understand that you are very busy, I would appreciate it if you could provide a response as soon as possible about this patch proposal. I very much appreciate your time.
- Eric
