Hi,

Whilst working on the Reproducible Builds effort [0], we noticed
that neutron could not be built reproducibly as it includes the
number of CPUs in the metadata_agent.ini config file.

Hi,

The provided patch doesn't patch in a correct way. Instead, it should
IMO set the value to None by default in the config file, and use
cpu_count() at load time if the found value is None. It has been done
this way in other packages of OpenStack.

I agree, I just wasn't sure that this value supported being "nullable"
hence this non-invasive patch.
