Dear ftp-masters,
please remove glpi from Debian unstable, while there's a patch from
Ubuntu to add PHP 7.0 support, the package bears no maintainer
activity and it's severely outdated. Thus I believe it would be
better to have it removed from Debian (unless somebody steps up
and update the package to latest upstream release).
Thanks,
Ondrej

Hi,
Sorry but I am giving up to maintain this package. The upstream has
the bad practice to put tons of third partysoftware embedded, with
several non-free files and other issues (over 500 lintians before
treat it).
I did several adjustments and tests. However, is very hard to maintain
it and I don't have much time. For each new upstream version we will
have a nightmare. So, I am dropping my intent to maintain it.
Thanks!

Eriberto

Complementing... The project is under GPL-2 but includes source code
over Apache-2.0. These licenses are incompatible. The upstream should
remove the all third party source code, making it a dependency (the
software under Apache-2.0 can be a dependency for a code under GPL-2).

Message #44 received at 846067-close@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:
glpi | 0.84.8+dfsg.1-1 | source, all
------------------- Reason -------------------
RoQA; unmaintained; RC-buggy
----------------------------------------------
Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next
dinstall run at the earliest.
Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.
We try to close bugs which have been reported against this package
automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they were closed
correctly or should have been re-assigned to another package.
Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 846067@bugs.debian.org.
