Hi,
https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/source-package/nagios3 lists
6 open security issues in unstable and stretch, the package has not seen
a maintainer upload in 2 years, and has an RC bug: #776118
Also upstream has stopped development and is now working on nagios4.
So please remove this package in unstable.
This bug report has been acked by Alexander Wirt.

# Broken Depends:
nagios2mantis: nagios2mantis
ndoutils: ndoutils-nagios3-mysql
These will have to either be removed or updated to depend on a newer nagios
version. Please remove the moreinfo tag once that is done.

Control: reassign -1 wnpp
Control: retitle -1 O: nagios3 -- host/service/network monitoring and management system
Control: tags -1 -moreinfo
I am turning this into a "orphan" WNPP bug.
If the Debian Nagios Maintainer Group has any other packages it cannot
or does not want to maintain, please also orphan these.
Notes for prospective adopters:
The history between Nagios/Icinga should be understood.
Please see #845777, and updating the Nagios packages to Nagios 4 is
likely the only supportable solution for stretch.
Considering the stretch release schedule, such an update would have
to happen during the next 1-2 months.

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next
dinstall run at the earliest.
Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.
We try to close bugs which have been reported against this package
automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they were closed
correctly or should have been re-assigned to another package.
Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 845765@bugs.debian.org.
