Hi,

osc suggests python-gnomekeyring, which is long deprecated and going
to be removed from the archive. It should switch to using the GObject
Introspection bindings for gnome-keyring, gir1.2-gnomekeyring-1.0.

This would mean switching to GObject Introspection for other bindings as
well, e.g. GLib and GTK+, so making the switch to GTK+ 3 at the same
time would make a lot of sense.

For more information on GObject Introspection see [1] and [2].

Please try to do this before the Stretch release as we're going to try
to remove it this cycle.

If you have any question don't hesitate to ask.

It has been rightly pointed out, that instead of porting to
gir1.2-gnomekeyring-1.0, it is better to port to libsecrets
introspection, i.e. gir1.2-secret-1

See

Michael

Do not sugest (deprecated) python-gnomekeyring. There is support for python-keyring already which is preferred upstream (Closes: #844158).
