Hi,

Whilst working on the "reproducible builds" effort [0], we noticed that pygoocanvas could not be built reproducibly.

Patch attached.

There hasn't seem to be any update on this bug in 68 days, in which
time the Reproducible Builds effort has come on a long way. :)

Would you consider applying this patch and uploading?

Subject: Pygoocanvas is deprecated & unmaintained
Date: Fri, 2 Sep 2016 16:12:24 +0200
[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Hi Chris,

I have been keeping an eye on pygoocanvas for a while. Unfortunately, it
is unmaintained in Debian.

I took over the maintenance of goocanvas, but I have not had the time or
inclination to look after pygoocanvas because it is deprecated and
unmaintained upstream.

The best course of action is to remove pygoocanvas from the archive, but
there are still 3 reverse dependencies that need to move away from it.
See: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=813185

If you have the time, I would recommend an NMU.

Regards,

Ross

I totally understand.

Can you ping those bugs? We might as well remove the package than bother with
an NMU…
