The release of OpenSSL 1.1.0 is getting nearer.  Some packages
will no longer build with the new version without changes.  Most
of those changes should be trivial, like you can't allocate some
structures on the stack anymore and need to use the correct _new()
and _free() function.

It can also mean that you can't directly access some members of
those structures anymore and need to use a function instead.

access functions please contact us.

I've uploaded packages to experimental, so you can use those to
test things.

this is a remainder about the openssl transition [0]. We really want to
remove libssl1.0-dev from unstable for Buster. I will raise the severity
of this bug to serious in a month. Please react before that happens.

There are patches to resolve this ticket, but I thought I'd wait for the possibility of a new upstream release that would incorporate them. Since that hasn't happened, I'll just add the patches the next time I get a chance.
