[ Filled as an RC-bug by the maintainer to see the package auto-removed
  from testing, and not let it block the PHP 7.0 transition. ]

I packaged php-google-api-php-client as used by owncloud, but owncloud
is going away, see #816376. There is a priori little point to ship
php-google-api-php-client in the next Debian stable release.

I intend to follow up with an RM request in a few months if nobody
objects (but feel free to beat me to it).

we are the developper of FusionDirectory and we will soon have a
google-apps plugin that will use this library

could we keep it inside debian

Let’s hold on the RM request then. Please ping us back when your plugin
is in the archive. You may wish to step up for the maintenance
(including dependencies) then: not sure I’ll stay around the PHP PEAR
(and Composer) Maintainers much longer once the ownCloud mess is done.

I've prepared an NMU for google-api-php-client (versioned as 1.1.7-0.1) and
attached it as a debdiff. Since this is a version bump and the resulting
diff to the source is quite large, I have only attached the diff for the

tarball using the updated watch file.

could you please either upload 1.7.0 with PHP 7.0 support to unstable or
have 0.6.7 removed from unstable?

Having a version that depends on php5 package prevents removal of

interested in having php-google-auth and php-google-api-php-client in
Debian, now would be a good time to step up before they get removed from
