I do. It seems this FTBFS for everybody right now:

https://reproducible.debian.net/rb-pkg/unstable/amd64/libgda5.html

So, raising severity accordingly.

Thanks.

   * Team upload.
   * Add debian/patches/Accept-SQLITE_INDEX_CONSTRAINT_LIKE-from-sqlite.patch
     to fix testsuite failure (Closes: #811068)
   * Fix spelling error in package description (Closes: #713901)
   * Add debian/missing-sources/jquery.js
     - this is the source for the *unused* and *removed during build*
       minified tools/jquery.js but needed simply to comply with policy
       so totally pointless. Do *not* use this file for any purpose.
       File picked up from: https://github.com/jquery/jquery/releases/tag/1.4.2

   * debian/rules: remove unversioned binaries, manpage and test database

     show up in list-missing.
   * Add debian/source.lintian-overrides
     - silences the false positive missing-source for
       doc/mallard/gda-vala/C/jquery.syntax.brush.clang.js
       which is the actual source
   * Bump Standards-Version to 3.9.8

Sorry for the reopening but I can still reproduce this in stretch.
I'm attaching three different build logs (using "dpkg-buildpackage -A").

Since this package is in version 5.2.4-2 in both stretch and sid, I
infer that either this was not really fixed, or the fix was not good
enough.

Or, it could also be that this is not really a bug in this package but
in some build-dependency. If this is the case please use "reassign"
and "affects" so that the bug is still visible in the page for this
package (this should avoid duplicate bugs).

Thanks.

Builds fine on the buildds

https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=libgda5

Would be great if you can find out how your build environment differs
from the official buildd setup.

I don't think there are real differences in the setup, I just have the
bad luck of discovering all the packages that FTBFS randomly (maybe
because official autobuilders only build the packages once, and I
build them a lot of times).

Two funny examples:

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=834890
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=838828

For the record, I should clarify that this one seems to be random as well:

Status: failed      libgda5_5.2.4-2_amd64-20161018T002913Z
Status: failed      libgda5_5.2.4-2_amd64-20161018T123528Z

Status: successful  libgda5_5.2.4-2_amd64-20161018T124751Z

but since I don't know why it fails, I can't estimate the probability here.

Thanks.

Here is a backtrace for the "check_vcnc" failing test.

Note: This happens randomly, it takes several times trying "make check"
to get a segfault, and sometimes the test which fails is another
different one (this is why I provided the bt for #839444 first).

Subject: libgda5: Patch to disable the failing tests
Date: Mon, 24 Oct 2016 18:05:32 +0000
[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Dear GNOME maintainers:

Based on the comments by Andreas in the rygel bug, I could understand
your desire to do the "right thing" and fix the failing tests, but it
surely would take time and effort, and nobody can really force you to do that.

If you decide to disable the tests, I'm attaching a patch to make it easy.
I've actually tested it (by diffing build logs), and it does what it
says it does.

Thanks a lot.

This bug was originally for a different problem:

ERROR:gda-vprovider-data-model.c:1316:map_sqlite3_info_to_gda_filter: code
should not be reached

That was already fixed.

What you see is a different bug (intermitently failing tests). Let's close this
and track that in #839444 (where you also sent your patch).

Cheers,
Emilio

Are you sure?

The test that was reported to fail here was "check_vcnc"
and such test still fails in the current version 5.2.4-3
as shown here:

https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=libgda5&arch=armel&ver=5.2.4-3&stamp=1479617548&raw=0

Why does it fail, I don't know.

Thanks.

I am.

Yes, same test failing, different reason. The OP was about a reliable error when
using a newer sqlite, your issue is an flaky test.

Emilio
