GPU accelerated decode for HTML5 video appears to be failing and
chromium is falling back to CPU, judging by the high CPU usage.  It
produces the following output on startup, with no further messages when
attempting to play a video. I've installed chromium-dbg but it didn't
affect the backtrace. Please advise if there's a way I can convert these
addresses to function names and source location etc.

Same problem here: no gpu acceleration.

I can confirm that your suspicion that

	Enable accelerated video decoding (closes: #793815).

is the culprit is correct. I built chromium without

	system/vaapi.patch

and hardware acceleration works again.
