Dear Maintainer,

I noticed since upgrading to 8.1 that my panel items in XFCE have all been
moved to the left side and I cannot move them back. I did notice this in the
.xsessions-errors log not sure if it is related.

Hello!  In recent versions of xfce4-panel, the Window Buttons plugin no
longer automatically expands.  Instead, you'll need to add a Separator and
configure it to expand.  That should resolve this issue.

Just add a separator plugin where you want and set it to expand.
