Subject: gdm3: Sometimes doesn't show anything but the background after logging out of a gnome session

Package: gdm3
Version: 3.14.1-7
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Logging out of a GNOME session came back to an empty gdm screen, only
showing the background. When clicking on the right spot, though, I could
see menus appear, but nothing could make the top bar and the login
screen appear.

In case it matters, my setup is a laptop with 2 screens connected, lid
closed, so only the 2 external monitors are displaying something.
Considering the menu shows up when clicking on the top right corner of
one of those monitors, gdm considers it as primary, exactly as when it
does display the login screen properly.

I'm not entirely sure if it only happened after logging out of a GNOME
on Wayland session or a normal GNOME session (I've been trying both
recently).
