This package has caused my system to hang on multiple occasions. Right now, I am seeing this:

There's just nothing useful for us to help you here. You could try to
run it through valgrind or something like that.

I would be happy to do that, but I have no idea how to do so for something launched by the panel. Help?

[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
I put together a patch for memory leaks in xfce4-power-manager-1.4.1
based on a back-port of upstream fix
(https://github.com/xfce-mirror/xfce4-power-manager/commit/18ead01edbc013abf620e3a9ea31eabcad1ae267)
and additional memory leak found using valgrind.

Tested & appears that the plugin memory footprint is now stable.

Funny thing, I was so happy to see a patch that would fix serious memory
leak that I also detected recently, but I've just found out that I have
1.4.4-4, and the patch has already been applied. Yet, the memory is
still leaking, half a gig of RAM is gone if I stay logged in for about
24h. :(

I'l see if I can compile the version with debug symbols to pinpoint
where the next memory leak is.

This app is haunted, missing images, missing memory... :)

I'm experiencing the same for Xubuntu 15.10 on a Surface Pro 3 and added a
comment to the ubuntu bug tracker where an issue was already present.

For reference:
