Dear Maintainer,

I am using aide since ages and, today the process ends with segfault after a
very short time.

Ad there is no "dbg" version I try to load the non-static version and it runs
like a charm ... without any
problems.

Does this still happen? I'd like to have this closed by the end of the
year 2017 if the issue doesnt happen any more.

I am closing this since this has happened years ago, there were no
reference cases, and that we can be reasonably sure that the segfaults
vanished once the correct binary from the package was installed.

Feel free to re-open if you feel the need to have this still open.
