The man page says:

The following:

  dialog --cr-wrap --backtitle "$TITLE" \
         --title "File Exists" --msgbox \
         "There allready is a \"$XF86CONFIG\".\n\nPress OK if you wish to
continue and choose a filename for the backup file or press Escape to
quit.\n\nATTENTION: If you choose an existing file for the backup then it
will be overwritten."

will overwrite the borders of the message box.
