I tried in a i386 chroot and cannot reproduce it there either, so
downgrading this bug to non-RC severity.

What makes me wonder is that the issue is only seen with my regular user
account. On the same machine, under a different user account (test),
fwbuilder works fine.
Is it possible that a crash could occur only for a particular user,
given that the apps are system shipped ?

Maybe it is theming related or so?

I finally got to make apport work on Debian. Please find attached a
better stacktrace. Hopefully it is complete, and can help you pin point
the problem.
