That sounds pretty much like in the Debian source package.
But please hold on for a moment and give me, or another maintainer, time
to look at the issue and why it happened.

I'm sorry that I broke it but LyX in Debian is still lacking an active
maintainer. So this upload was indeed untested and not very carefuly prepared
as you might have noticed.

Seems that nowadays LyX ships its own desktop file so we can remove the
Debian one from the packaging. I'll try to handle that soon.
