Package: gdm3
Version: 3.12.2-3
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
after latest (one week ago) big Debian testing update GNOME doesn't start anymore on headless machine, showing screen with "Oh no! Something has gone wrong. A problem has occurred and the system can't recover. Please log out and
try again." message.
I'm using VNC to connect to the machine.
If I connect monitor GNOME starts normally. But this system works OK without monitor connected at least 2 years until last week with all regular updates installed.
Let me know what other information is needed.

Subject: gdm3: GNOME doesn't start without monitor connected after latest
Debian testing update
Date: Fri, 5 Sep 2014 00:55:38 +0200
Hello Andrey VI!
It does look like gnome-shell (3.12 and git master both) assumes a primary
monitor exists.
Could you please file a bug upstream? It's probably better you talk
directly to them in case they're interested in hearing more about your
usecase.

Andreas Henriksson
