As part of the https://wiki.debian.org/AutomaticDebugPackages project, I
propose to package this for Debian:

* Package name    : pkg-create-dbgsym
  Version         : 0.64
  Upstream Author : Martin Pitt <martin.pitt@ubuntu.com>
* URL or Web page : https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pkg-create-dbgsym
* License         : GPL-2+
  Description     : automatically build debug symbol ddeb packages

This is what Ubuntu uses to generate their ddeb files, so I think it
would be a good basis for experimentation.
