Hi,

LibreOffice 4.0 switched to python 3.3 as its (internal) python[1] and the
LibreOffice 4.x packages in Debian thus build a pyUNO variant for that
per default (python3.3-uno until python 3.3 - yes, really, >= 3.3 is
needed - is default at which time it will become python3-uno again).

While I keep a python-uno for compatibility and smooth transition[2]
building against python 2 will only be supported "for a few releases"
upstream. But upstream does NOT ship python 2 support.

If your upstream wants to support LibreOffice >= 4.0.0 (s)he does need
to adapt to python 3.3. Possibly even makng it work for both[2], but >= 3.3
is a must.

Please adapt (or make your upstream adapt, as said above they need to do
it anyway) for python3.

I checked unoconv 0.6 and it doesn't say anything about python 3 so I
believe it's not fixed there yet.

I filed this bug on 2013-05-09...

I saw you forwarded this upstream. The URL you forwarded it to
is https://github.com/dagwieers/unoconv/pull/124 and if I read it correctly
it is fixed upstream for 2 months already via
https://github.com/dagwieers/unoconv/issues/111 (2013-05-24 according to the
last comment, which also has the patch:
https://github.com/dagwieers/unoconv/commit/90aff423dbd85b99a48c313fe7d9101434e34767)

Please backport and/or upload the new release so we at least have one
package which didn't stay with the totally obsolete python-uno...
(maybe wait until I rename it back to python3-uno this weekend, though,
if not, I can add a Provides: python3.3-uno, though)

as python3 is now defaulting to 3.3 I was able to revert python3.3-uno
back to python3-uno.
