PHP 5.5 will be next stable PHP release. The beta version is is
already packaged in experimental and works quite well (or at least it
builds ok and all more serious problems were solved - mainly the non
functional GD extension).
Please note that this transition will go with Apache 2.4 transition,
thus there will be no PHP 5.4 for Apache 2.4.

I did a mistake in the first Ben file, here's the correct one:

is_affected = .build-depends ~ "php5-dev";
is_good = .depends ~ "phpapi-20121212";
is_bad = .depends ~ "phpapi-20100525";
notes = "#706830";
Sorry,

Actually that doesn't work either, because 32bit archs have
phpapi-20100525+lfs, not phpapi-20100525. Should be fixed now.

OK, let's go ahead with these now.

There have been binNMUs or uploads in sid, so let's make them
again installable in experimental, too.
Buildability verified on amd64.

Apache 2.4 and PHP 5.5 migrated to testing last night; closing.

Hi,
the following packages are currently uninstallable in jessie:
libexpect-php5 0.3.1-1+b2
php-ssh2 0.11.3-0.1+b2
They had binNMUs in sid against php5 5.5, but these binNMUs haven't
migrated, yet, even though they are older than 10 days ...

Aside from the fact that age isn't applied to binNMUs, your data is
broken:
libexpect-php5 | 0.3.1-1+b2 | testing | amd64, armel, armhf, i386, ia64, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, s390x, sparc
libssh2-php | 0.11.3-0.1+b3 | unstable | amd64, armel, armhf, i386, ia64, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, s390x, sparc
Both sets migrated together with php5.5 on Thursday evening.

Adam

The latter should of course be
libssh2-php | 0.11.3-0.1+b3 | testing | amd64, armel, armhf, i386,
ia64, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, s390x,
sparc
but the point remains that there doesn't appear to be any issue here.
