Package: apache2.2-common
Version: 2.2.22-13
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
i'm running TYPO3 6.0.4 on 3 different Servers with Debian Wheezy. On
every Server, all with the same Configuration
(just default setup on ganeti-cluster), apache fails after a few days.
The error.log says:
[Mon Mar 18 22:14:28 2013] [notice] child pid 4962 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)
[Mon Mar 18 22:15:06 2013] [notice] child pid 4961 exit signal

Segmentation fault (11)
[Mon Mar 18 22:17:54 2013] [notice] child pid 5024 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)
There are still apache-processes running, but the website is empty.
After restarting apache, it works again for a few days.
I can't reproduce this Problem with a specific site or php-function. I'm
not sure, if this is problem is
caused by apache, php or apache-mod-php
Please let me know, if you need some more information.
Thank you
Christian Blank

This is your PHP dying.

It's most likely mod_php5. Please read README.backtrace to provide more
useful debugging information to PHP maintainers.
Please reassign back to Apache2 in the unlikely case the backtrace
reveals a problem in a core module.

Hi Christian,
I'm facing the same problems with TYPO3 6.0.4 on Debian Squeeze servers.
Obviously the problems seems to be releated to TYPO3 6.0.x
http://forge.typo3.org/issues/46584
It seems, that the problem will be fixed in TYPO3 6.0.5
Best regards
Torben

JFTR the upstream issue was pulled into 5.4.3-6, can you confirm it no
longer segfaults with that version? Otherwise is some other error.
Also Christian, could you please install php5-dbg before doing
backtrace? The information you have sent is unfortunatelly useless as
it is now.

Hi Ondrej,
i'm using mpm-worker-php now, which solved the problem. There's no need
for me to change back to use apache2-mpm-prefork so i don't need this to
be fixed.
Of course i'd like to help you fixing this problem if you want so.
Should i try running it again with mpm-prefork and the current php
version (5.4.4-14 is installed now with wheezy) and may send you a
backtrace with php5-dbg installed?

Well, I think that it should be already fixed, so it would be nice to
have confirmation. Anyway don't bother if that would be too much
trouble for you, I am 99% sure that the problem is fixed in wheezy
version.
