>From the homepage:

PPSSPP is a PSP emulator written in C++, and translates PSP CPU
instructions directly into optimized x86, x64 and (soon) ARM
machine code, using an efficient JIT compiler.

PPSSPP can thus run on quite low-spec hardware, including
stronger Android phones and tablets, as long as there's
support for OpenGL ES 2.0.

PPSSPP is still in early development, some features like audio
playback for ATRAC3+-encoded content is not implemented. Many
games, however, are already playable:

Sorry for the late reply! I was on a trip through South America
the past three weeks and had very limited internet access.

Anyway, ppsspp is still on my TODO list. I have a working package
for an older version [1], but I didn't go ahead and uploaded it
back then since there were still some issues with the package.

I will look back into it the next weeks. I am currently busy
working through everything that has piled up the past three
weeks.

Adrian
