Hi, thanks for working on these issues. I'd like to see a few things
corrected in the changelog, but otherwise it looks good.

There is specific language usually used in the nmu line. You can
automatically generate that with "dch -n". Technically you can word
that however you want, but consistency is useful.

Please give credit to the person originally proposing the patch for this issue.

Please mention which shells have this problem: i.e. dash does but bash doesn't.

Best wishes,
Mike

Thank you all for this work - Dominik, would you work directly on
the git repository of the redmine package ? That would allow much
easier maintenance.
I can find some time to upload the fixes this week.

Jérémy.

Currently, I do not really plan on doing more work on the package, just RC
bug fixing.

Michael, please send follow-ups directly adressing the author of a bug
report to the original author as well, not only to the BTS ...

Cheers,
Nik

Subject: circumvent the use of rubygems instead of requiring it
Date: Sun, 2 Dec 2012 15:34:25 +0100
Hi!

Instead of requiring rubygems, wouldn't be better to circumvent rubygems
instructions in config/boot? All the dependencies are already ensured to
be installed thanks to APT, so there is no need for extra checks to be
sure that rails is installed.

Cédric
