Subject: metacity: tooltips leave behind shadow borders when compositing is enabled
Date: Sat, 25 Aug 2012 17:12:56 +0530
Package: metacity
Version: 1:2.34.3-3
Severity: minor
Dear Maintainer,
When compositing is enable, some tooltips don't dissapear completely when the
mouse stops hovering over the relevant object. Instead, the border shadows
produced by metacity's compositing stays behind. I found that the tooltips from
the windows buttons (close, maximize, minimize) work fine, but those from the
Gnome Panel's have this problem. This bug is also documented here:

So far, the bug actual. What is the best use in gnome-classic - a
metacity or compiz?
