I was able to bootstrap powerpc without problems using the binaries downloaded from sbcl.org for linux-ppc. Please bootstrap this and enable powerpc builds.

Thanks

Building on !x86 was disabled due to noone being around who is able to
acctually debug compiler bugs there. And we have seen issues on non-x86
architectures in the past which are not a priority upstream either. Are
you / the ppc porters able to step in and help debug problems as they
arise?

Regards

I'm definitely here to stay for powerpc. I've fixed ghci and worked on several other compilers that were broken on powerpc (just in the past few weeks).

I've confirmed this working on Ubuntu powerpc. Adam Conrad is currently looking to bootstrap for Ubuntu quantal powerpc, we just wanted to have this in Debian too, so we can make sure we aren't off-by-one on debian/control.

Thanks

Just a short notice, there'll be powerpc included as soon as there is
another upload (though quite likely not for wheezy as it's already
frozen). Just fighting with my powerpc box to actually get the build ;-)

Seems I messed the changelog closing this bug when I re-enabled powerpc.
