Please unblock package powerstat

I request a freeze exception for powerstat/0.01.17-1 which has been uploaded
to unstable. The delta for this version includes a bug fix noted in the
change log entry as follows:

    powerstat (0.01.17-1) unstable; urgency=low

      * Update version
      * Add support for /sys/class/power_supply (Closes: #679593)

The added support for /sys/class/power_supply fix is absolutely required
to make powerstat work at all with newer linux kernels which do not have the
older (deprecated) /proc/acpi/battery interface. Without this fix
powerstat just won't work in Wheezy.

Thanks!

unblock powerstat/0.01.17-1

In case this matters... As the upload sponsor, I also agree with this
request.

How this package got tested before the initial upload? There are only a
few days delay between the _two_ uploads.

Forgot to Cc: the bug in my earlier replies to Mehdi.

So, originally, we extensively tested this on Ubuntu on 3.2 and 3.4
kernels, however, we had omitted to test with /proc/acpi/battery
disabled which was bad oversight on my behalf. Subsequently for the
0.1.17-1 changes I've tested this on Wheezy + unstable updates + also
with Ubuntu with 3.4 and 3.5 kernels on a range of 4 laptops which
handle the battery status differently - a Dell, Lenovos and a HPMini.

Hope that clarifies things.

Thanks for the reply!

AFAIK, CONFIG_ACPI_PROCFS_POWER has been disabled (in Debian) in
linux/2.6.29-1. So this is _very_ old. (Not even in Squeeze). Given that
the package just came out of NEW and it didn't have much testing by our
users up to now, I think I'm not going to grant the freeze exception I'm
afraid.

Regards,
