I intend to bring ceres-solver back to Debian, the package is almost
ready. It builds against the suitesparse packages currently in NEW
that will finally fix the problem mentioned on the ceres-solver

The new source package of ceres-solver is now available here:

It build-depends on suitesparse >= 4.4.3 which is currently only
available here:
https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/debian-science/packages/suitesparse.git
Upload will have to wait until (after the Jessie release)
suitesparse 4.4.3 has cleared NEW.
