scipy supports python3 since 0.9.0, now that we have py3 numpy in
experimental please also add packages for scipy.
Attached a patch that should do it.

attached a bit more invasive patch refactoring the rules file a bit to
reduce duplication and split the build and install steps.

note that the explicit depend on python3-numpy may only be required
until bug 665998 is fixed.
If you like the other patch better, note that this is missing and it has
a typo, replace $(BASE)/debian with $(BASE) and one python -> python3
when removing the LICENSE.txt

Could you please prepare an updated patch for 0.10.1? I'm not very
familiar with this python3 transition, so would you mind adding
yourself to Maintainers and taking "responsibility" for the changes?
You may push your changes to subversion, I can build and upload the
package.

the python3 transition in debian is, thanks to upstream, just running
setup.py with python3 and taking care of some wrong shebangs lintian
reports.
I have committed my invasive patch to svn with an additional
wrap-and-sort to make it easier to merge the dependency changes.
I'm not really familiar enough with all aspects of the package to add
myself to the maintainers, but I'm subscribed to the package in debian
and will take care of python3 bugs caused by the patch.
