I'm puzzled by this. cups dropped that file in version 1.5.0-16, which
is the version cups-filters has Replaces/Breaks: for. How did you
manage to install cups 1.5.2-5 without also having cups-filters
installed? It's a strict dependency.
Or did you perhaps only copy above part from the full apt-get
dist-upgrade log? Did the full upgrade involve an upgrade of cups as
well?

As this hasn't appeared in pre-stable-release testing, it's very likely fixed,
marking as such in the version in stable.
