Package: munin
Version: 1.4.5-3
Hi,
I've configured Munin to use CGI graphing. On one machine it is running, on another not. Both have the same packages installed and the same configs.
I am not good in Perl programming, but what i have found out is, that when /usr/lib/cgi-bin/munin-fastcgi-graph is executed, it hangs on semop($semid,$opstring); in sem_get(). The variables $semid and $opstring are set.

Can you please try to reproduce this bug with munin2.0~beta7 from
experimental? The packages install fine on squeeze.
cheers,
Holger

Hi,
First another little bug (I think it is not worthwhile to open another bugreport):
I added experimental to sources.list. While upgrading munin the symlink /etc/apache2/conf.d/munin which pointed to /etc/munin/apache.conf was removed.
Back to topic:
With munin 1.999.4603-1 / 2.0beta7 the graphs are drawn - and yes, it's working very very fast. But I wanted to get the package of debian stable to work :)
Greetings,
Christian

Hi,
I downgraded to 1.4.5-3 again and switched from fastcgi to cgi. It is working and the the graphs are generated fast enough (quad core CPU with HT, 8 cgi processes). But that was only another workaround.
Greetings,
Christian

Thanks for your bugreport and for keeping updated with your findings, much
appreciated. Did you see #609900?

I don't have time now, but that needs to be investigated.
(Any takers?)

Yes, I have seen this documentation.
From one day to another it was no longer working. On another machine it
works well till today. Ther were no differences between the configs (now
there are, cause of switching from FastCGI to CGI). The machines have
installed the same packages as well, all from squeeze and squeeze-updates.
When running the fastcgi-script in a terminal on the machine where it is
working in combination with the webserver it is working in the terminal,
too. But on the other machine it hangs at that semop()-operation.
Greetings,
Christian
