Debian-release,

I would like to request a transition slot for linphone, libexosip2 and libosip2,
for which pkg-voip-maintainers are responsible.

All packages have been uploaded to experimental.

linphone transition is liblinphone3 -> libphone4, no external rdepends

linphone provides libmediastreamer0
rdepends kopete, no binNMU required. kopete is also part of kde transition.

transition libosip2-4 -> libosip2-7
rdepends sipwitch siproxy libexosip
all binNMU OK

tranistion libexosip2-4 -> libexosip2-7
rdepends sipwitch binNMU OK

Hector,

We are currently awaiting a transition slot via debian-release.

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=656839

According to the endorsed workflow, we should not upload to unstable without
approval from the release team:
http://wiki.debian.org/Teams/ReleaseTeam/Transitions

So please do not NMU, until this cordination is complete.

You should not make an upload that starts a transition without approval
from the release
team, that is not the same thing as making no uploads at all.

Would you object to a NMU based on the version currently in unstable
that just fixes the FTBFS?

I have now prepared a NMU based on the version currently in sid that
only fixes the FTBFS. The debdiff is attatched.

libosip2 maintainers are you ok with this NMU?

it seems it's rather self-contained, and doesn't seem to be entangled in
any of the planned or ongoing transitions, please go ahead.

Please ping us back when the packages with updated sonames are uploaded
to unstable, so that we can schedule binNMUs with appropriate dep-waits.

Thanks for your patience.

Hector, Thanks for the offer, but no need now.

I have uploaded the NMU and d-r have given the green light on the experimental

Everything looks ready from here, except libexosip2/s390x and
sipwitch/s390x which can now be binNMU'd. Those won't be any blocker
anyway since s390x isn't considered when looking at candidates.

I'll run a few tests to make sure they will migrate on their own when
the time has come (in 4.5 days).
