Message #5 received at submit@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
Package: virt-top
Version: 1.0.4-2
Severity: normal
'virt-top -2' is listing the same host several times:
virt-top 08:15:04 - x86_64 4/4CPU 2000MHz 3965MB
11 domains, 5 active, 5 running, 0 sleeping, 0 paused, 6 inactive D:0 O:0 X:0
CPU: 51.8% Mem: 1152 MB (1152 MB by guests)
ID S RXBY TXBY RXPK TXPK DOMAIN INTERFACE
2 R 5402 4020 57 50 farfalle vnet1
1 R 5096 4872 47 50 fettuce vnet0
3 R 4602 3076 49 38 spaghetti vnet2

5 R 3128 2986 27 26 noodle vnet5
5 R 0 0 0 0 noodle vnet6
Obviously (though I checked of course) "noodle" is not running three times.
This only affects the '-2' screen; the others are fine.
FYI, the VMs are all paravirtualised KVM VMs.
Let me know if you need more info.

Looking at the manpage this is expected since it lists network
interfaces by default so I'd say that's not a bug but a feature.

Err ... could you tell me which bit of the man page you are referring to?
Thanks.

Display network interfaces by default (instead of domains).

Okay, then we have a misunderstanding:
'virt-top -2' displays the NICs instead of the domains; sure, that's fine,
and is what is in the man page.
In the output I pasted, 'virt-top -2' displays the *one* NIC for host
"noodle" *three* times, that is not fine, and is not described in the
man page, and is surely a bug, right?
I trust that clarifies the issue ...

Yes it does. Please attach your domain config and see

CLosing this bug as requested by the initial bug reporter. I'd be great
