I request an adopter for the riece package, due to lack of time,
resources, interest and so on.

The package description is:
Riece is a user interface for IRC (Internet Relay Chat). You should
spell it with the first letter capitalized and pronounce it as /ri:s/.
 .
The features of Riece are as follows:
 .
   * Several IRC servers may be used at the same time.
   * Many features built upon the extension mechanism called add-on.
Currently 30 such add-ons are available.
   * Installation is easy. Riece doesn't depend on other packages.
   * Setup is easy. Automatically save/restore the configuration.
   * Step-by-step instructions are included.
   * Mostly compliant with the latest IRC client protocol (RFC 2812).

Hi,

I know there are still some people using this package and maybe I could
take this since I'm the upstream :)

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of riece back from ITA
(Intent to Adopt) to O (Orphaned), because this bug hasn't seen any activity
during the last 6 months.

If you are still interested in adopting riece, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

retitle 654944 ITA: riece -- an IRC client for Emacs
 owner 654944 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITA for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
adopting the package. It is also a good idea to document your progress on this
ITA from time to time, by mailing <654944@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,

Hi,

A long time ago, you expressed interest in adopting riece. Unfortunately,
it seems that it did not happen. In Debian, we try not to keep ITA bugs open
for a too long time, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to
refrain from adopting the package.

This is an automatic email to change the status of riece back from ITA
(Intent to Adopt) to O (Orphaned), as this bug hasn't seen any activity
during the last 6 months.

If you are still interested in adopting riece, please send a mail to

 thanks

It is also a good idea to document your progress on this ITA from time to
time, by mailing <654944@bugs.debian.org>. If you need guidance on how to
adopt this package, please reply to this email, and/or contact the
debian-mentors@lists.debian.org mailing list.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,
