Message #3 received at submit@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
Package: quilt
Version: 0.50-1
Severity: normal
Policy describes Recommends as "packages that would be found together
with this one in all but unusual installations." Quilt has significant
functionality other than "quilt mail". Many people use quilt to manage
stacks of patches without ever touching "quilt mail". Having quilt
without an MTA does not represent an unusual installation. Please
change the Recommends to a Suggests, to point people at an MTA without
pulling one in by default.
Thanks,
Josh Triplett

Yeah, I agree that Recommends is a bit strong given that quilt mail is not
so important among all the features that quilt provides.
Changed to Suggests.

* Drop entirely debian/patches/testsuite_cleanups since it's no longer

* Integrate 2 small regression fixes from upstream in

for Debian but this offers a chance to get them in Ubuntu's LTS 12.04.
