Hrm. I admit the pcc package as it currently is will probably
not exist for a while. I still need to get the time to update
it though…

This is weird. What does this say?

dpkg-architecture -f -ai386 -qDEB_HOST_MULTIARCH

If it’s empty (or, “DEB_HOST_MULTIARCH is not a supported…”)
you cannot currently build pcc on your system. (This case
should probably be caught.)

I’m leaving this open for now, I hope I’ll be able to work
a bit on pcc over christmas.

Thanks for your interest,

Subject: pcc needs multiarch aware dpkg
Date: Sat, 22 Sep 2012 13:27:49 +0000 (UTC)
Hi,

I’m closing this, as the pcc in experimental needs an already
multiarch-aware dpkg to build (even though it cannot cope with
a multiarch debian, which I’m working on right now), so it’s
no candidate for squeeze. (I don’t even promise it’ll work on
wheezy, but right now I don’t see why it shouldn’t, once I’m
done with it.)
