Package: chromium
Version: 14.0.835.202~r103287-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
After upgrading on any page (even startup) apears "Aw, snap"

If I make downgrading of libnss3-1d to 3.12.11.3, all works.

amd64 system. I can't reproduce this. Instead, I get:

| $ chromium
| [3:3:598699545795:ERROR:nss_util.cc(397)] Error initializing NSS without a persistent database: libsoftokn3.so: cannot open shared object file: Permission denied
| [3:3:598699545795:ERROR:nss_util.cc(397)] Error initializing NSS without a persistent database: libsoftokn3.so: cannot open shared object file: Permission denied
[...]

The message repeats for each page I load, but the browser works
fine.

| $ dpkg-query -W chromium libnss3-1d libc6
| chromium	14.0.835.202~r103287-1
| libc6	2.13-21
| libnss3-1d	3.13.1.with.ckbi.1.88-1

Ideas?

Thanks,
Jonathan

I'm getting the same problem on an i386 system after a recent
upgrade. No webpages load, nor do any about:* pages. Even the web
developer tools window gets the same error. It is still broken after a
purge and reinstall.

I get no errors when running from the command line.

If there is any other information you want I can provide it.

simonft@bukunin:~$ dpkg-query -W chromium libnss3-1d libc6
chromium	15.0.874.106~r107270-1
libc6	2.13-21

That's <http://bugs.debian.org/647992>.

I'm closing 649378, since it isn't reproducible and the original

You're a bit too quick at closing. I still see the blasted message:

	[111:111:66151334217:ERROR:nss_util.cc(394)] Error initializing NSS
without a persistent database: libsoftokn3.so: cannot open shared
	object file: Permission denied

with:

	chromium	15.0.874.121~r109964-1
	libc6 2.13-23
	libnss3-1d	3.13.1.with.ckbi.1.88-1

	Linux 3.1.0-1-686-pae #1 SMP Sun Dec 11 20:40:16 UTC 2011 i686

No crash, though.

Cheers,

And what does that message have to do with this bug?

If you'd like to help solve the actual bug (currently, we have no
fix ready to test, so that means debugging, not testing), see
<http://bugs.debian.org/651912>.
