Hi,

The attached patch solves the FTBFS problems of mx on GNU/Hurd. Dynamic
memory allocation is used to avoid the absence of a PATH_MAX definition
for GNU/Hurd. The glib versions of malloc and free are utilized.

Thanks!

Dear Thomas,

Can you help me to review the patch for mx?

This patch is about to not using PATH_MAX but using dynamic memory
allocation for all path string arrays.
The main reason is PATH_MAX does not existed on all kernel, for example,
GNU/Hurd.

The patch is attached in this mail. Created by git format-patch.

Many Thanks,
Paul

Here is a revised version of the patch, using g_strdup_printf instead
of computing the size in advance, thus making it a lot more obviously
correct.

Hi Samuel,

I tried to push the old patch to the upstream I got these comments.
https://github.com/clutter-project/mx/pull/15

Please see if having a fixed MAX_PATH is reasonable.

Yours Sincerely,
Paul

It is not reasonable when g_strdup_sprintf does the work is a very
straightforward and safe way. (and precisely avoids the sizeof(guint)
erroneous computation).

Samuel
