Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : nemid
  Version         : 1.1-1
  Upstream Author : Ole Wolf <wolf@blazingangles.com>
* URL             : http://debian.blazingangles.net/nemid.html
* License         : Free for non-commercial use
  Programming Lang: Bash script
  Description : Install certificate for the Danish "NemID"

Installs the Danish "NemID" certificate and prepares selected applications for the use of the NemID PKCS#11 module. NemID is a national, centralized authentication service. It includes an option to sign documents and email with a personal certificate. The latter is rather poorly supported by DanID (the company that provides NemID), which requires you to download and unpack a file, overwrite essential system files. This package avoids this drawback, and automates some of the otherwise manual steps for configuring applications.

The package has been updated a few times since the original IFP. The most
important change is that the install script now downloads the necessary
libraries instead of including them as binaries in the package itself. This
probably classifies the package as "contrib."

Yes, in theory it does. However, looking at the original ITP mail:

* License         : Free for non-commercial use

Which wouldn't even qualify for contrib.

Best Regards,
  Alexander

That has been changed, too. It's GPL v. 3 now.

retitle 647098 RFP: nemid -- Install certificate for the Danish "NemID"
noowner 647098
tag 647098 - pending
thanks

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of nemid back from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 12 months.

If you are still interested in adopting nemid, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

 retitle 647098 ITP: nemid -- Install certificate for the Danish "NemID"
 owner 647098 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITP for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
packaging that software. It is also a good idea to document your progress on
this ITP from time to time, by mailing <647098@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,
