Package: bzr-builddeb
Version: 2.7.9
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
When running "bzr builddeb" it fails to build the package with the
error:
dpkg-source: error: aborting due to unexpected upstream changes, see

Full log is attached.
I think dpkg-dev is the cause, with this related changelog message for
version 1.16.1:

Hi Björn,
Can you explain what you consider to be the bug in bzr-builddeb exactly
here? The error seems to be a direct cause of the change in behaviour by
dpkg-source, but I would consider the error a problem with the package
you are trying to build rather than bzr-builddeb.
bzr-builddeb is working fine with newer versions of dpkg-source and "3.0
(quilt)" here.
Cheers,
Jelmer

I'm closing this bug as it's not a bug in bzr-builddeb - this
behaviour entirely depends on dpkg-source. There are some ways to
force dpkg-source to automatically generate a patch for the changes in
the working tree.
Cheers,
Jelmer

If you reopen a bug, the least you can do is to give some justification
of why you're doing this...
The behaviour change has been made on purpose. If your packages fails to
build due to this, then your package is broken and needs to be fixed
to properly cleanup (or ignore) auto-generated files (or whatever else
modifies upstream files).
Without further information, this bug should be closed.
