Version: 1.8.0-3
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Pytrainer does not detect my garmim 310xt.

I installed pytrainer and garmin-ant-downloader; however, pytrainer> file > import shows that gant is not installed on the system. I suspect that pytrainer should be looking for garmin-ant-downloader.

Ah, interesting, I never thought that could be possible. I currently
import my data manually after getting them with garmin-ant-downlaoder.

Have you tried, as a workadound to do
"ln -s /usr/bin/garmin-ant-downlaoder /usr/loca/bin/gant"
(as root of course)?

We could maybe provide a link named "gant" in garmin-ant-downloader
but I actually changed the executable name to avoid conflict with
existiong binaries in other packages and that would reintroduce the
conflict.

Another solution would be changing the plugin....

Making a link to /usr/local/bin/gant did not help.

Where could I find some documentation for using gant or
garmin-ant-downloader? All I could find was the the source code from
2010 http://cgit.get-open.com/cgit.cgi/gant/.

After looking closer, it seems that GPS device import is, anyway, not
implemented.

From ~/.pytrainer/log.out:

2011-10-03 06:44:54,782|ERROR|windowimportdata|init_gpsdevice_tab|GPS Device import not yet implemented

Hence marking the bug accordingly.
