Hi,

The attached patch converts gpm to multiarch paths 
and adds the relevant Multi-Arch: fields to debian/control.

Since gpm is bottom dependency installed by default when installing
toolchain, we need a early conversion of gpm to be able to take advantage
of multiarch.

Thanks!  I've uploaded something based on your patch.

...Though if you're going to make a patch to a Debian bug log against
an Ubuntu package, you should say so.  It took me a little while to
figure out why the patch had context in it that didn't exist in the
Debian package. (:
