You'd need this stormlib to be packaged first, wouldn't you?

Ok. Just a minor note on its version number: 8.01 is exactly the same as
8.1 in debian.

$ dpkg --compare-versions 8.01 eq 8.1; echo $?
0
1

Anyways, do you want to maintain the packaging yourself or are you
looking for somebody who can take over as a maintainer?

Ok, I forgot append CC list.

If somebody can maintain all packages - no problem. I can notify about new releases/bugs in SMPQ or stormlib.

I asked him for relicense stormlib to (L)GPL/BSD but he wrote me that it is not needed, because developer can use his library in projects without license. I do not know if author of stormlib knows why are these license needed for projects (he use only windows for develop and he maybe does not know GPL, BSD or CC-..). So somebody should check if stormlib licence is OK.

ok. So as always, the problem is that there needs to be somebody who has
time to do all the work.

I'm personally busy and I don't know about this problem at all so I
can't really work on it. Does your tool have users? Maybe some of them
are already familiar with Debian work?

If nobody has time I can maintain my application and also stormlib. But I need
know what I (as package maintainer) should do. And I'm not Debian user, I'm
using Ubuntu. But I think that there is no big differences between Debian and
Ubuntu packages.

What is state of this bug? If nobody has time for it, how can I maintain it?

http://mentor.debian.net/ might help you. However, I have to say that
the ideal case would still be that you find somebody who cares about
stormlib and already knows Debian well. Learning debian packaging just
to package your own program can be tedious.
